1.To provide knowledge on basics of pathological processes at cellular and tissue level

2.To enable identifying basic cellular changes associated with diseases in order to understand the value of different histo and cyto technologies used in the laboratory

This is a three credit course unit with following course unit objectives;

• To provide the knowledge on basic analytical techniques used in Chemical Pathology

• To provide the knowledge on pathological basis of diseases in brief and principles, procedures and applications of biochemical investigations of different diseases in detail

• To provide the knowledge on quality assurance processes in the medical diagnostic laboratory

This is a 02 credit course unit with following learning objectives

• To provide knowledge on basic management concepts which are useful to manage clinical diagnostics or research laboratory efficiently and effectively.

• To provide knowledge on basic quality management concepts which are useful to assure quality in clinical diagnostics or research laboratories.

• To provide knowledge on ethics in diagnostics or research laboratories.

• To provide knowledge on basic safety and safety management concepts which are useful to assure safety in clinical diagnostics or research laboratories.

The objective of this course unit is to provide understanding and basic knowledge of using animals for research purposes.
